Trekking in Sahyadri
Sahyadri... The north-south chain of mountains that mark the western edge of the Deccan Plateau Region is Surrounded by Dense Biodiversity. It covers the area of 160,000 km2 in a stretch of 1600 km parallel to the west coast of the Indian Peninsula. It is sometimes called the Great Escarpment of India.
Treks in the Western Ghats are unique in the monsoon and winter season when the climate is pleasing and the forests, waterfalls, and lakes are in their most picturesque form. The Western Ghats is blessed with numerous magnificent hill forts and hilly plateaus along its outskirts.
